Dr. Moshe Benarroch is a seasoned periodontist with a passion for transforming smiles—and lives—one patient at a time. Originally from Kansas City, MO, he has called the West Side of Los Angeles home since 1999. With a degree in psychology from Yeshiva University in Manhattan, Dr. Benarroch brings a deep understanding of the mind to his work in dental health. He earned his DMD from Rutgers Dental School in New Jersey in 1998.

After completing a year of advanced training at Newark Beth Israel, Dr. Benarroch moved to LA to specialize in periodontics and dental implants. He completed a rigorous three-year specialty program in 2002 and began his dual roles as an attending periodontist at the Veterans Association and a private practitioner at Valencia Periodontics in 2003. In addition to his clinical expertise, he is a Certified QME for the State of California, bringing extensive knowledge and experience to every case.

What Dr. Benarroch enjoys most about his work is helping people maintain their health, enjoy beautiful smiles, and live their lives to the fullest. His enthusiasm for his patients and his team is palpable, making him a cherished figure at Valencia Periodontics.

Outside the office, Dr. Benarroch is a devoted family man who loves traveling—especially to tropical beach destinations—with his wife, four kids, and one grandchild. He’s also a barbecue enthusiast, an avid card player, and a proud collector of American bourbon.

Dr. Ian Pearson is not just a skilled periodontist—he’s a passionate educator, dedicated to guiding his patients on their journey to better oral health. With a strong foundation in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from UCLA, Dr. Pearson’s fascination with the science of oral health led him to the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his D.M.D. degree cum laude. His pursuit of excellence didn’t stop there; he specialized in Periodontics and Dental Implantology at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, graduating as chief resident.

As a Board-Certified Periodontist, Dr. Pearson combines his deep understanding of oral health with a gentle touch, even offering moderate IV sedation to ensure his patients’ comfort. His passion for periodontics shines through in his work, especially when educating patients about gum disease and the vital role it plays in their overall health. Dr. Pearson treasures the long-term relationships he builds with his patients, guiding them through their health journeys and celebrating their successes along the way.

Outside the office, Dr. Pearson is an avid outdoor enthusiast, always seeking new adventures in nature. He’s also a proud cat dad, a budding guitarist, and has a keen eye for film photography, capturing the world through a unique lens.

Dr. Dmitriy Ivanov is a board-certified periodontist who brings advanced expertise and precision to Valencia Periodontics once a month, performing complex periodontal surgeries, gum grafts, and implant procedures. Both the team and patients deeply value his presence, thanks to his extensive training, thoughtful approach, and consistently high-quality care.

Dr. Ivanov earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from UC Santa Barbara, graduating summa cum laude, before completing his DDS at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He went on to specialize in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry through a rigorous residency at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, where he focused on treating medically complex cases, full-mouth rehabilitations, and advanced full-arch implant solutions. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery—one of the highest distinctions in his field.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Ivanov is passionate about education. He’s served as a clinical instructor at both the UCLA School of Dentistry and the UCLA Venice Dental Clinic and continues to mentor fellow dentists on periodontics and implantology.

He’s an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the California Society of Periodontists. With specialized training in moderate IV sedation, Dr. Ivanov ensures even the most anxious patients feel relaxed and confident in the chair.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ivanov enjoys spending time with his growing family, snowboarding, camping, staying active, cooking, and exploring his love for music. His dedication to both his craft and his patients makes him an invaluable part of the Valencia Periodontics team and a trusted provider for those seeking exceptional care.
